I'VE SEEN THE MAN OF MY DREAMS BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW HIS NAME!!!!!

Right I've just been to Brentwood again (this time for lunch) and I just HAD to come home and write something.

About a year ago I was having dinner in the Carvery with Kyle and Lauren when I noticed sitting on the table opposite me quite possibly the BEST looking man I'd ever seen in my life! I found myself staring at him and feeling weak and giggly. He was looking back at me too and we spent the whole meal playing games with our eyes. We were almost daring each other to look away first. My heart was beating really fast and I felt light-headed. You know how I always say that teeth and shoes are the first thing I notice on a man? Well he had a perfect set of both. He had the most gorgeous face I've ever seen in my life and muscles in all the right places. He had a wicked dress sense (I even remember what he was wearing) and I found myself falling in love with him (without even speaking to him!). He knew I couldn't take my eyes off him but at the same time he couldn't stop looking at me. It was as if no one else existed at the tables around us. He was with a large group of people and I know that none of them clocked me staring at him and saying "I want you!" with my eyes. It was like we had a secret game going on and we both knew it.

Anyway Lauren thought she knew him; she said that she thought he went out with one of her sister's mates about ten years ago but she wasn't 100% sure. She also thought he used to work in a bar in Brentwood (again - years ago). I couldn't stop thinking about him for weeks on end after I saw him. I know I always say it but he REALLY was the best-looking man I'd ever laid eyes on (with the exception of Valentino Rossi but he's just not human! Ha ha). If I could describe my perfect man; it would be him. I then went to great lengths to try and find out who he was (even asking the waitress in the restaurant if she knew anything about him). The waitress told me that she thought he had a girlfriend and promised to call me or Lauren if he came in the restaurant again and if he was actually single. My head was consumed with thoughts of him for so long afterwards and it was so frustrating cos I didn't even know his name (and Lauren didn't know if he actually was the guy she thought he was).

Anyway, from time to time I think about the handsome stranger and I wonder where he lives, what he does and if he's single yet?!

So....... I went to the pub today and for a change we went in one that we never normally go in called O'Neills. They do really good vegetarian food and we were starving hungry. We sat over the back and for the whole duration of the meal a guy was standing at the bar with his back to us. I noticed straight away that the guy had a very nice back. The sort of back you want to run your fingers down (and shoulders to die for). I pointed him out to Lauren and said "do you know - I think the BEST part of a man is his back!". She had a little look and agreed with me. I then made a few groaning noises as the guy switched positions and I watched his back muscles flex under his t-shirt. I then couldn't take my eyes off his back for the rest of our meal. We got into a deep discussion about how men's backs (or 'man-back' as we call them) are the best thing in the world (the whole time I am dribbling at the guy's back). I noticed he was dressed really nicely and I also noticed that he had a really tight bum but essentially it was the sight of his back and shoulders that were doing it for me. I even joked to Lauren that I bet "he's got a minging face though!" she agreed and laughed and said that you can't have it all. As we got up to leave, I couldn't resist taking a cheeky peek at his face (just to see what the owner of the tremendous back looked like). I nearly fell over! Yes, you guessed it; it was the handsome stranger from the Carvery. He'd had his hair cut cos the last time I saw him he had a trendy Mohican/spikey thing going on and today it was just very short (but equally as gorgeous) but I knew it was him straight away. My legs went to jelly and I gasped. Lauren clocked straight away as well and we both giggled our way out of the door (well, she was giggling and I was hyperventilating). I turned around a few times on my way out just to look at him again and he was staring straight back at me (his eyes burning into me). Once outside I felt a sudden sense of panic. I've only ever seen him twice and today was the second time in a year! I begged Lauren to go back in and ask him if he's single. I HAD to know. I don't know anything about him, I haven't even spoken to him but I do know that the first time I clapped eyes on him I felt like I'd been smacked round the face. I had quite a touch really cos Lauren had promised me a year ago that if she ever saw him again she would go and ask him if he's single (since the waitress seemed to think he had a girlfriend) so Lauren was forced to stick to her promise. I ran and hid in the Slug and Lettuce, being too scared to be anywhere near him for fear of making myself look like a right twat. She came back with the very bad news that he DOES have a bird but his dad (who was having a drink with him) said "but tell her I'm single!". GUTTED!!!!! I mean, I'm sure his dad's lovely but he's not the one I want.

So - at least I now know that he has a bird and I can move on. You see - if you don't ask then you'll never know. Ha ha. I still don't know his name or anything about him but physically he is my PERFECT man and I could happily look at his face every day for the rest of my life. I said to Lauren afterwards "why does he have to be such a faithful prick?" and she laughed her head off and said that is the biggest oxymoron she's ever heard (she's such a school teacher!). Ha ha. So - a man from Brentwood (or who goes out in Brentwood) was in O'Neills today and we think used to work in a place called The Gallery (or Swints) is the love of my life and he doesn't even know it. Ha ha.

When I went into the Slug, Jordan was in there having a coffee and I told him that Lauren had just gone to ask someone if he was single for me (I'm such a child!). A few minutes after Lauren got back, the perfect stranger walked past the window of the Slug and Jordan saw him before I did and said "I bet that's him!" See - even my brother can spot my perfect man a mile off. I didn't dare look cos by then he had a bird by his side. WHY does this keep happening to me?! I told you a thousand times and I'll say it again - all the best ones really ARE taken. When am I going to get to a "best one" first?!!! I made the mistake of chasing a taken man once and I won't make it again. Cos ultimately someone will end up getting hurt and I am not going to ever risk it being me again. Plus, I don't want to be the cause of someone's break up. The perfect stranger is dangerous because both times now he has looked back at me with the same hungry eyes as what I look at him with. He's the sexiest thing on two legs I've ever seen; but what I like about him is that he doesn't act like he knows it. He doesn't have that air of arrogance that some men have when they know they're good-looking (like Fancy Boy - sorry babe but you DO know it!). He seems like he's just a really nice guy. Remember when I said that I want to be bowled over by someone's looks (like the women in Jackie Collins' books); I want my jaw to hit the floor out of sheer lust for someone?! Well, he is that and more. He is one of the most stunning men alive!

I know that he might not even be a nice person and I know that he might totally bore me mentally but with face/body/clothes/hair/teeth like that I don't care!!!! I cannot believe I sat looking at his back for all that time (and perving over it) without even realising it was HIM (my mysterious PERFECT stranger).

I don't even know if I'll ever see him again (its been a whole year since the last time) but I will never forget that face as long as I live. He is so beautiful.

Anyway, just had to get that out of my system........ And.........relax!

So; I have spoken to the 17 year old today on text. I'm trying to persuade him to come and watch a film round mine tomorrow but he's saying he's got football and work and will see me in the week instead. I just want someone to snuggle up with to watch a good film. There's nothing like the feel of a man's arms around you in the dark while watching a film. Aside from that I am seeing the cousin of my friend tonight. It's my first "official" date in a year and I'm very excited. He's got the best man-back ever as well. I feel all excited, like there's so many nice things to look at and want to touch; I don't know which direction to go in first. Ha ha.

The 17 year old is beautiful and so sexy but I think he might be a touch scared of me. He told me last night that he is "intimidated" by me. I told him there's nothing to worry about and that I'm just a normal person (well, alright, not quite so normal - more of a desperate freak at the moment but hey). I'll let you know what happens.

The cousin of my friend is handsome and strong and fancied by women everywhere he goes. I remember in Marbella, where I first met him, all the women (young and old) were perving over him (but he did keep taking his top off to show his 8 pack). I'll let you know what happens with him also.

The perfect stranger - well that's all he is. A perfect stranger. I WISH I knew him; even just his name. I won't make the mistake of chasing someone else's bloke ever again but one day I have a feeling we might just meet up and have to kiss. Now there's an idea - to kiss someone you've never even spoken a word to!!! Wow - that would be incredible!!!!! We've said a thousand words between us with our eyes alone anyway. He knows I want him and he knows that if somehow he ever is single, he can track me down and plant one on me - I've waited this long - I'll wait forever. Ha ha. Perfect stranger please get in touch if you ever become single (or anyone that knows him - Lauren said his name might be Dave and I reckon he's about my age - 27).

So, I'm off to beautify myself before I have people knocking on my door!

Have a great Saturday night, speak again tomorrow people.......

Loads of love from an in-love-with-a-stranger Jodie xxxxxxx
