Since posting a bulletin on Myspace with the video from PETA called Meet your Meat, I have had so many thousands of messages asking questions so I thought I'd do a quick blog to clear it all up for you!
Firstly, for those saying "I am officially now veggie but what can I eat?" - think about it! Everywhere you go does excellent veggie food. Wimpey does the best quorn burger in the world, O'Neills (the pub chain) does great veggie food (quorn sausage and mash etc); in fact all pubs, shops and restaurants do loads of veggie food. Quorn is my favourite thing to eat. You can pretty mush get it anywhere, and anything you can get in meat (dead animal) form; you can also get in quorn (and you wouldn't know the difference) ie. lasagne, spag bol, burgers, sauagses, kievs, fillets, mince, quorn dippers (same as chicken nuggets), frankfurters, fillets (with or without sauce - ie. you can get ones already in a Tai Green curry sauce or a Korma sauce or you can buy them plain to cook however you like). Just go and look in Tescos or Sainsburys (or any big supermarket) at the quorn or veggie section and you will find all kinds of lovely things. My brother made me and Lashes a spaghetti bolognase this week with quorn mince and Lashes said it was the best one he had ever tasted. He said if I had just served it to him and not told him then he wouldn't have known the difference. Plus, quorn has no fat in it and is very high in protein so is mush better for you than dead flesh. Quorn is mostly flavourless (mush like dead animal) so it's up to you how you cook it. If you eat chicken then generally you would put some sort of flavouring on it. It's rare that people eat it just as it is. Even if it's a few herbs and spices or in a sauce or with ketchup. Well, quorn is the same. If you want to put chunks of it in a stir fry then you can, if you want to have it with rice and tikka sauce then you can. You can put it on skewers and bbq it or you can have a fillet of it in red wine sauce with chips! They even make a quorn roast that you cook for an hour in the oven and carve up yourself when it's done (mush like turkey). Treat quorn just as you would treat "meat" (I hate that pretty word for it, let's not dress it up; let's call it by it's real name "dead animal").
By being veggie you have mush less risk or heart disease, no risk of mad cow disease or e-coli or any of the other hideous food-poisonings that come with eating animals and it's great if you want to lose weight as there's no fat in quorn. If you eat quorn nuggets then you don't run any risk of finding a blue vein in them (like you find in chicken nuggets) and if you eat quorn burgers (which taste the same as cow burgers) then you definitely won't find any white chewy lumps (that could be anything from eyeball to a piece of lip!).
There's so mush out there for veggies - you just gotta go and find it! Plus of course there are all the things that we were supposed to eat anyway (fruit and veg) which are non-fattening and extremely good for you. It's not at all weird or difficult being veggie. For example, if your favourite restaurant is Pizza Express then go in and take a look at the menu. Half of it is veggie!

That should work! For anything else you need to know about being veggie then got to www.peta.org.uk and look at their veggie section! You can even get free veggie starter kits! It's not hard being a veggie; in fact I have always found that people respect me for it and are interested in it. When I have kids I wouldn't dream of putting dead flesh in their mouths (as Peta say on their website; "feeding kids meat is child abuse!"). Children are innocent and pure - why would we want to contaminate their bodies with the dead carcass of any animal???
