30th January 2007 - The one about naughty toys!

Well well well. Lashes just keeps getting better and better...... He is a TRUE gentleman. This week he has taken me out for dinner a few times AND had a huge bunch of white flowers delivered to my house (with a card attached with one of his eyelashes sellotaped to it - the people in the shop must have thought he was mad). He overheard me and a few of the girls talking about the tiny bunch of red roses Dave Boil got me for my birthday. Basically we were saying that, although a nice thought; my living room is black and white and therefore I would have preferred a bunch of white flowers to match the room. Lashes then went out and got me a huge bouquet of white roses and lilies! What a gem! I think I've found a good one mum! Speaking of mums..... Hello Mrs Mummy Lashes. Thank you so mush for what you said on your email (he let me read it!). It's so nice (and refreshing) to know that there are nice people out there. You'd be surprised at how many pre-judge! Don't worry - he IS treating me well (very well) and he is being a perfect gent. I must say - he's extremely handsome, but don't tell him I said that, I don't want him getting a big head

Seriously though, thank you for your kind words. It's lovely of you. I will look after him (although I have told him not to fall for me because my head is ever so slightly screwed from 5 years of being famous and 15 years of going out with losers). We are having lots of fun; I'm taking him away to Dublin soon and he has booked to come to Cyprus with me (and twenty rowdy boys). He is lovely and kind and looking after me extremely well. I am a very lucky girl.

Ok..... just going back to the flower thing....... It can't just be me who wants flowers to match the rooms in your house?! I bought my mum a huge bouquet of flowers today (it's her birthday) and I got her orange, yellow and red blooms to match her dining room. The dining room is a kind of old-fashioned country-style room with thick draping red curtains. It's beautiful and the flowers look amazing in the centre of the big dining table. It's normal to want them to match! There isn't a single bit of red anywhere in my house and I know red roses are supposed to symbolise "love" and all that but the Boil never loved me and I don't want red flowers! I know he ranted about me not appreciating the flowers he got me in the story he sold to the paper, but the fact was that Living TV sent me the hugest bouquet of white flowers at exactly the same time as he got some for my birthday. The flowers from Living were to say thank you for working so hard on the show and they were ten times the size of the flowers from Dave - I think he got the hump about it Wink

Anyway - what's going on in my life? Well, yesterday I did a photo shoot for Heat magazine. Very good it was too. The theme of the shoot came from the fact that Dave cheated on me and the pics are going to be very funny!!!! I'll let you know when it's out cos you'll love it. It's a real piss-take out of myself and I love it! After that I came home and looked after Lashes (who was off work with the flu). I didn't want to get too near him so I just threw lemsips in through the door every now and then! Ha ha. Only joking, of course I wasn't that mean. I just REALLY hope I don't get ill now! Last night I went to the pub with Lauren, Jamie, Jenna & Stiffy and we played doubles darts. Me and Lauren are still unbeaten! God we're just so good! We also had a take-away delivered to the pub and we all sat and ate together.

Today I have been out getting flowers for my mum. She insisted on "no presents" for her birthday because me and Jord went so mad on her at Christmas and she doesn't need or want anything. I couldn't not get her anything at all though so I got a beautiful bouquet made up and Jordan got her a lottery ticket and put it inside a card! I have also popped in to see Carolina and been for a coffee in Brentwood. I was supposed to be doing voice-overs today for a TV show but it got moved to another day which was good because all morning I couldn't leave my house as I was waiting for a new phone to be delivered. While I was waiting I had a tidy up. I threw a load of junk out and hovered and polished everything. Lashes was still ill so I talked "at " him while he laid in bed. I'm trying to convince him that being vegetarian is the way forward! Ha ha. I've given him the old "it's healthier" speech and the old "everyone is programmed from birth to think that dead animal is food" but as yet it hasn't worked. I have explained to him that I want to bring my kids up as veggies and that when that time comes, my husband, whoever he may be; will have to also be veggie. When I went to get him lunch today; he asked for a cheese and salad subway. Ha ha. I also told him about the greasy film that gets left in your mouth after you eat jelly sweets (it's the gelatine ie. crushed animal bone) and he has said he doesn't want to eat them anymore so we may be getting somewhere! There's hope for him yet!

Lashes has pretty mush moved in with me (but don't worry, I won't be getting his name tattooed. Ha ha). I still think it's the best way to do things. There's no point seeing someone a few days a week for 6 months or even for a year or two and then moving them in only to discover that you CANNOT live with them. Might as well find out straight away then you only end up wasting a few weeks instead of years with the wrong guy! So far so good. Let's just hope it stays that way. I'm getting too broody to keep being messed about by men. I want a fine looking, intelligent man to father my kids when I'm ready and there's just too many baby shops around for my liking. Every time I pass one I have to go in and buy clothes for Amelia. Fit Bod is shouting at me to stop spoiling her but I can't help it. Plus, it's his fault cos I get a text every day with a picture of Ameila wearing one of the outfits I bought her, saying "hello auntie Jodie".

So, life is good. I am enjoying spending time with Lashes. He's very handsome, intelligent and a true gent - what's not to like?! All my friends like him too. He makes a real effort with everyone (unlike others before him who could barely string a sentence together). He adores Kyle and Lauren and DJ Mark and he is starting to realise that Paddy and Lyla are humans and NOT just dogs

When we're together we don't stop laughing. We also have deep, long and intelligent conversations (well, apart from the other night when we were trying to remember the theme song from "Button Moon" the kids program from years ago - don't worry we got there in the end and we also sung the songs from Gummy Bears, Denver the Last Dinosaur and SuperTed). With a trip to the tattoo shop and the realisation that dogs are better than people; we'll make a man of him yet That's a joke mummy Lashes. Although he did say the other day that he wants a white tattoo (which is funny cos I want a pure white one next!)

Poor Paddy is ill too. He's got eczema on his head but it's "wet" and he is having treatment 3 times a day so he is back at my mum's house for a little while. We thought it best to separate him from Lyla so that she doesn't lick the ointment off him. My mum chose to have Paddy cos he is by far the best behaved dog in the world. Lyla is still chewing everything in sight (including Lashes) and she's more hyper than me! She's a bit of handful but then she's only 8 months old! She is currently playing with a toy on the rug and she's growling at it! That's it Lyla... you tell that naughty toy!

Lauren has just arrived. Her and Lashes are trying to sing the Superman, Indiana Jones and Star Wars theme tunes one after the other (apparently it's impossible). If people could see what we get up to I swear we'd all be carted off in strait jackets! At the weekend me and Lashes went into a card shop to get a card for my mum's birthday and while his back was turned, I laid down on the floor in the middle of the shop. I was going to pretend I had passed out or something (just to embarrass him) but he turned round just as I was about to close my eyes and he had fits of laughter. He loves my childish humour though (another good thing about him). I can't cope with normality so have to do these stupid things once in a while to let off steam. Luckily he understands that and finds it highly amusing. He's a lot more reserved than me but I like it. As they say "opposites attract" and we both like each other's different ways.

Right......... we are going to watch a film so I had better be off. Lots of love and kisses to you all

Jodie

P.S Quote for the day "If you want to enjoy the rainbow you've got to put up with the rain first" Dolly Parton - yeah you're not joking Dolly. Dave wasn't just rain though - he was a full on monsoon!

P.P.S HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY! I love you more than all the grains of sand in the world, all the blades of grass in the world, all the stars in the sky, all the raindrops in the world and all the water in the sea and THAT'S A LOT!!!!! You have always been and always will be my hero and my idol. Your love and support never fails to amaze me and I cannot thank you enough for always being there for me. Through thick and thin, through hideous men, through the pain and the laughter, the good times and bad. You make everything I do worthwhile and I want to make you proud. I love you so mush - words don't even describe! You are the best mum in the whole world and you are my best friend. I know how lucky I am to have you for a mum and when I say my prayers every night I thank God for you and dad because without you I would be nothing. I would be lost and I certainly wouldn't have achieved as mush as I have. I love you soooooooo mush. You are incredible. You make me want to be a better person and you make me want to life my life to the max!
