It's Saturday night and I am staying in (for reasons which will become clear soon! "Saturday night? Staying in you say? Hmmmmmn - not possible?!"). Lauren is on her way over and my cousin Jo and her boyfriend Tony have just left mine. They came up from Bournemouth today to see our nan and then popped in to see me too.
Today I have been running around trying to buy material and glue and pins to make an outfit for a special night we have planned soon. Since I am staying in I thought I could get to work on it tonight. I have also had my car washed today. The inside was filthy dirty from where I put the dogs in it to take them to the park so I got some nice men to scrub the whole thing. It now looks like a brand new car again. I felt really excited getting in it afterwards! I haven't even had it a year yet but where the dogs had spread so mush mud around; it looked awful. Now it is beautiful and sparkly! It'll last til tomorrow when I have to take the dogs for a walk but hey.... At least it was beautiful for a day!
I had breakfast with Jordan today in our local café and then he came with me while I ran around doing my errands. It's been a busy but productive day and I am excited about the thought of making the coolest outfit ever to wear in the near future. Making your own clothes is so mush more fun than buying them. I've always been quite creative and loved making or customising clothes. The stuff I make is always outrageous but the best bit is that no one else can ever have it! I love being different ("no... really?") and if I make something really cool; I always have people asking me where I got it. I have a feeling this is going to be my best creation yet. Already I have ideas whirling round my brain for how I want it to look. Another great thing about making your own stuff is that even when you have weirdo stalkers (like I do) who copy everything you wear; they can go and try to imitate it but it's never quite as good! Oooooh, while I think of it; update on my stalker - she is now copying where I go out. I have stopped going out in Brentwood because of her but at the moment the only two other clubs I go to regularly are (as everyone knows), Amadeus and China Whites. Where did my stalker go last week?? (bear in mind she NEVER goes anywhere outside of Brentwood)..... Oh what a surprise.... She went to Amadeus and then China Whites. This is serious "Single White Female" stuff!!! She is following me round the country! Help!!! This "being famous" lark isn't all it's cut out to be!
So, yesterday I worked all day. I went to the edit suite of my new TV show "Get a Life" (starts this coming Thursday on Living TV folks - 9pm - don't miss it!) to do some voice-overs. I then got taken straight from there to my agent's office (where I sneaked in a bit of shopping before my second job - and I bought a WICKED outfit!). At my agent's, I had an interview to do first with Love It magazine and after that I had another meeting with the production company who are working with me on my next TV show. I am so excited I can't even tell you!
While I was at the edit suite yesterday I saw a few clips of some of the different episodes of Get a Life. I also got given the first episode on DVD so when I got home I watched it with Lauren. I think I look absolutely minging on the first episode. Ha ha. There are parts where I look nice but other parts that I HATED! On the plus side though; I saw the final episode yesterday as well (to be screened 7 weeks after it starts) and I look the most beautiful I've ever seen myself look! I'm in the most beautiful dress ever; thanks to Abi & Jamie who took me to the giant Topshop on Oxford Street, where I had the whole shop to myself (they opened it especially for me). My hair and make-up looks amazing and I am glowing throughout! I look like a film star! Honestly I did a double take when I saw it. I couldn't believe it was actually me! I'm not blowing my own trumpet here (well, maybe I am a little bit) but I really did look amazing! I can't WAIT for the final episode! Ha ha. I look classy and elegant and cute all at the same time. I'm VERY happy with how it turned out! Oh... and thanks to Mark for keeping my puppies in check every day on set! Without him I would have been slyly un-doing buttons here and there! ha ha. Seriously can't wait to watch the whole series now though! It's going to be great.
Lauren has just text me to say that she's on her way over. She can help me make my outfit. I also have to make an outfit for Sarah and another friend of ours. It's going to be a night of cutting and stitching and gluing and mess!!! I'm looking forward to it though. I have hunted high and low for the right thing to wear and can't find it but actually I have mush more fun when I make it myself anyway. All the money in the world can't buy an outfit like what I'm about to make! Of course I will put the pics up on Myspace as soon as I have worn it! Just so that my stalker can see it and try to copy it
Do I have any more gossip for you? Let's see.........
Well, apart from working all week and spending lots of time with the girls (who all seem to be having man problems at the moment and need my words of wisdom), I haven't really done a lot. Well, I mean nothing over-exciting anyway. I haven't had a minute to myself and I have been running round all over the place but it's all been work and chats with the girls (and buying sexy underwear, material to make clothes and more make-up - a girl can NEVER have enough make-up!!).
I did a very silly thing this week too (which actually could turn out to be the best thing I ever did). I'm not going to tell you about it now because it's something that I want to keep to myself for now. You'll have to keep reading this to find out what it is (cos I will tell the story in the near future) but it's GREAT! It was silly; in the sense that it was dangerous (although not as dangerous as it could have been - I hatched a plan to make sure nothing could go wrong) but it was amazing and has given me a whole new lease of life. I feel very calm and yet panicky all at the same time. I'm on the verge of something big and yet it could just all crumble tomorrow! Ha ha. It's hard to describe what's going on without telling you what I did but I just can't tell anyone yet. It's something I need to think about some more, work out where I stand and whether it is going to be a good thing or not. When I know more about it I'll tell all!
I'm jumping around like an excited child right now. Everything in my life is going so well. I'm so happy and bouncy! I can't sit still. Even when my friends are over; I am running around making drinks and food. I can't sit and just chill out. I'm running on nervous (but very happy) energy! I think it's cos we haven't been out in Brentwood! Ha ha. I love Brentwood, I grew up here but there's only so mush a person can take of seeing the same old faces and doing the same old things on the weekend. I think we all got lazy because ultimately, we do get VERY well-looked after when we go out in Brentwood. We know all the owners, staff and doormen of the clubs and bars. We get free entrance, VIP treatment and free drink AND we are only 5 minutes from home (which, when you know you can roll into bed in under 5 minutes, makes the night SO mush better!). Because of all this though, we haven't really been anywhere else lately (except Amadeus and China Whites, and we won't be going there too regularly cos my stalker has now taken to frequenting those too). Instead we are organising different nights out. We are up for going absolutely anywhere that promises fun! Last week we did the club crawl of London and very soon we are going to Bournemouth for the weekend. I'm also arranging to go and see Linsey and Mark in Marbella in the very near future. I haven't seen them for a while and it will be fun to go and party with them.
I'm off now. I'm hungry so I'm going to make food. Lauren will be here any second and I want to get started on making the best outfit ever!
I hope you all have a GREAT weekend! All my love Jodie x x x
P.S Quote for the day: "If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write worth reading, or do things worth the writing" Benjamin Franklin (1706-90), US Statesman & writer........ Hell yeah; I'm ok cos I do BOTH!
