Oh yes...... I have had an AMAZING birthday & Christmas! Sorry it's taken me so long to write folks but I've been so busy enjoying myself & celebrating that I kind of deserted the old blog for a bit. We have been on a 7 day bender basically (Michael Barrymore would be proud! Oooooh, speaking of which, I saw in the paper the other day that the police reopened the Stuart Lubbock case and miraculously at the same time Barrymore got a "chest infection" and lost his voice so he couldn't talk! Amazing that isn't it?!) Anyway, we really have been on a bit of a bender and we're still going! Tonight for the first time in a week I have been drinking water all night. I needed to give the body a break. I know it's Christmas and all that but jeez, come on now.... A bit of restraint is now needed.
Ok, so I'll start with the night before my birthday, which was last Friday the 22nd. A load of us (Jord, Dave, Lauren, Tony & crew) went to the Horse and Groom to see the best band (2nd to Jordan) in the world. The band are called Buckshee. They're amazing. I'm sure I've spoken about them before on blog; it's a guy and his wife and between them they play about 25 different instruments. Because they are so good and always get us dancing like mentalists, we ended up staying there quite late and getting quite merry. The night was supposed to be the warm-up to my birthday but it ended up being messier than my actual birthday. We all went to Sugar Hut after where I had a table reserved and two bottles of vodka waiting (as if we hadn't already had enough by then anyway!). You can see some of the pics on my Myspace. I was dancing on the bar, being carried round the club on Lauren & Dave's shoulders (while the DJ played "Happy Birthday to you!") and generally acting up all night. Still now I don't remember how me and Dave got home or what happened when we got home. I do remember however that the next day (my actual birthday), I couldn't get out of bed until 1pm and my phone was ringing off the hook with people wanting to know where I was and what I was doing. Eventually Jord came and picked me & Dave up and I went to my mums still in my pyjamas to open my presents (got some amazing ones!). I then had another little sleep on the sofa and Lauren and Adele came over. Everyone ate birthday cake without me (cos I couldn't face a single morsel of food) and then I came home to get ready for the pub crawl that night. We were supposed to start the pub crawl at 1pm but Jord spent the afternoon ringing everyone telling them to come later as I was in too mush of a bad way. I was that hungover that I couldn't even talk! Seriously - I've never felt that rough in my whole life! I very nearly wrecked the whole day by being in such a state. I was sick about 20 times. Nice.
So, on being dropped back at mine I came to the conclusion that I actually didn't want to get dressed and that at the last minute, the pub crawl was going to be a pyjama party. We then spent another hour calling everyone to tell them and finally made it out to the pub at about 5pm. There ended up being more than 30 of us out for the crawl (most of those 30 in their pyjamas and dressing gowns!). It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Jordan had a little pouch round his neck with his money in because his pj's didn't have pockets and poor Dave was sweating all night cos his were flannel and boiling hot. Lauren even wore her slippers! My mum & dad joined us half way round the pub crawl. We tried to do every pub in Brentwood but gave up after about 6 to go to Sugar Hut. I had a table reserved at Sugar Hut again so we all piled in and I jumped straight up on the bar to show off. I had glammed my pyjamas up with a diamond tiara, the best pink glittery shoes in the whole world and lots of diamond jewellery, yet in my drunkenness I still felt the need to strip off and act up (again, pics on Myspace). It was only once inside Sugar Hut that I started to feel a bit more human (by that I mean - not so sick) and I got very drunk again. Everyone went nuts and had the most fun ever! In fact the next day everyone told me that it was the best night they had had all year! I think it's something about going out in your pyjamas that makes it so mush fun. Plus, of course, when you get home, you don't need to get undressed; you can just get straight into bed! Joy!
So, the following day was Christmas Eve. Sarah had stayed at mine (along with 12 other people) so me, her & Dave went and did some last minute Christmas shopping. That night we then got dressed up again. This time I went as a school girl and Sarah went as an air hostess. We had decided that we didn't want to go in normal clothes and so raided my sex-shop outfits for something fun to wear. Dave was DJ-ing at a club in Romford so I spent the night in the pub my brother was playing at. All of our friends were there and my parents and I always spend Christmas Eve with them so didn't want to go to the club with Dave. Plus, I wouldn't have known anyone there and he was working all night. This time there were about 50 of us and we all lost the plot a little bit. I did the Dirty Dancing lift with Jackie's husband George (the couple who got married in Cyprus this year) and hit my legs on the ceiling of the pub (I didn't realise quite how tall he is!). We got a round of applause though (although I think that was more to do with everyone getting a great view of my baby blue French knickers while I was up in the air). Hang on...........Tony is massaging my shoulders and it feels so nice I might fall asleep...........
I'm back. So after the gig at the pub (which was amazing and the best dancing session ever), we all went to Sugar Hut (again!). Three nights in a row! The thing is; I get looked after in there, I get free drinks and it's five minutes from my house (which means I can roll into bed 5 minutes after leaving!) - perfect - we can't get enough! A load more of our mates were in Sugar Hut so we carried on partying until we were so drunk that we could barely stand up. At the end of the night, people started leaving and I remember hearing Sarah say to Russ and Fit Bod "look after her - make sure she gets home ok!" and when I finally stumbled out at about 3am, I found myself standing in the High Street on my own! Ha ha. The twats had all gone and left me! I staggered round to the car park hoping to see someone I knew and my luck was in. A boy I knew was there and he asked in a shocked voice "what are you doing?!" I told him I'd been left and he gave me a lift home. Result! I actually found it all highly amusing. Fit Bod and Russ then started ringing me to see where I was and if I was ok but I was already home and tucked up in bed. I love the fact that I stumbled out on my own. Sign of a good night when that happens. We left my mate from Southend in a club in Brentwood once where he didn't even know where he was, but that's a story for another time!
I was woken up by my dad calling me at 8am Christmas morning and Jordan came to pick me up 5 minutes later. We then had all the usual present-opening and champagne breakfast and then I shot home to get showered & changed & pick Dave up from his house. We got back to my mum's and my aunt, uncle and cousin were there and we had the biggest dinner ever known to man and opened more presents. After dinner Tony Trumpet, his dad and Carolina turned up and I went off with Dave to see all his family. We spent a while at his mum's house and then went to his uncle's house and then I went back to Marsh Manors to get drunk and sing karaoke with everyone. My mum had asked for a karaoke machine for Christmas so of course she got one and we spent hours singing songs on the mic. Carolina drank 2 full glasses of neat vodka and passed out and me, Tony, Jord, and Tony's dad sat up drinking for hours until we couldn't keep our eyes open.
I stayed at my mum's (with all 6 dogs in the bed with me) and got woken up early again by my dad to go to the band Buckshee's house! Basically, Mick & Mo who are the band Buckshee had invited the Marsh family over for Boxing Day. We ended up staying there for hours cos Jord got on the piano and Mick played guitar and Mo played the sax and the tin whistle and we all had a mad sing-song. It was such a nice thing to do as a family on Boxing Day and we all had a thoroughly good time. So good in fact that we didn't want to leave. It's rare these days that we go out just the four of us and we really loved it! Anyhow, we had to leave to come home and feed all the dogs so me and Jord got changed and went up to Brentwood for yet more alcohol abuse. I had arranged a girlie night out with Alex, Carolina and Sarah and Jord and Russ joined us at the last minute. We did yet another pub crawl of Brentwood and ended up in Sugar Hut again (four nights, nearly in a row with the exception of Christmas Day itself!). Comedy - just give me a sleeping bag in the corner! We were given a bottle of vodka and a bottle of JD and that was us drunk again for about the 6th night in a row! Sarah came back and stayed at mine and we woke up today feeling fresh as daisies (our bodies are obviously immune now which is good cos I never want to feel how I did on my birthday ever again!). I have spent the day mincing around my house. I didn't really move in fact until Lauren got here at about 4pm and I cooked us dinner. We then both crashed out on the sofa and woke up at 9pm to Jord ringing us asking "where are you?!"
Jord, Russ and Tony were in a pub in Brentwood so Lauren quickly got dressed up as Elvis (one of her Christmas presents from me was an Elvis impersonation kit) and I went out in my pyjamas (again). I have decided that I will go out in my pyjamas as mush as possible now cos it's fun, it's comfortable, you don't have to stress about what to wear and you can jump straight into bed when you get home without getting changed! Going out in pyjamas is the way forward! We have spent the whole night singing songs at the top of voices in the pub and we even managed to get the people on the table next to us to join in! Lots of fun. We then all came back to mine and everyone is still here now (it's 3am). I have made everyone pitta breads with cheese and salad in and we are all tired and laughing deliriously.
So there you have it - there's a summing up of my Christmas and birthday. Obviously lots of mad things happened and I have had the most amount of fun ever but at 3am after a week of partying; I can't really remember it all and don't have the energy to write it. Tomorrow me & Dave are going to have a chilled one hopefully. Get some energy back and re-charge our batteries. It's been heavy & messy but soooooooo good!
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas - I did - totally AMAZING!!!!! I got some of the best presents ever and I have been surrounded by all the people I love! Oooooh - and just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Laura for the vodka. Cheers babe - that was so nice of you! I really didn't expect that! You're wicked! Love you!
Anyway folks, I'm knackered, my brain is slowly shutting down for the night and my body aches all over from all the silly things I've been doing (press-ups in Sugar Hut, climbing up the walls and gyrating on the bar on my knees).
It's been emotional..........
All my love Jodie x x x x
P.S Quote for the day "We do not stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing" - yes oh yes oh yes. That is one of my favourite quotes ever!!!!!!!! Never stop playing people! Not ever! Playing makes life worth living and if you don't play, well, then... you're boring & dull & don't know what life is really all about. It's about enjoying it and that quote just says it all! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
