Wow - I had the best night ever last night! Me and Tony went to the launch of the new Grease sing-along dvd and it was sooooo mush fun! We got picked up at 6pm and had a really moody driver. He wouldn't let me smoke in the car and he kept flashing and beeping his horn at people for no reason (full on road-rage case). We got to the party just after 7pm and the first person I saw was my mate Rick Parfitt (son of Rick Parfitt from Status Quo). Me and Rick are really good mates and I haven't seen him for ages (my mum wants me to marry him) so we got straight to catching up and dancing. The next people we saw were Caroline and Dean (Mr Showbiz) from Closer Magazine. The five of us spent the next few hours sinking as many free drinks as we could and egging Rick on to do Karaoke. He sung about 4 times until he dragged me up with him and Tony to sing Karma Chameleon by Culture Club. I half-sang and half messed around dancing. I'm not good at Karaoke.
We're having a ball. We're dancing and chatting and messing about and suddenly my knees go weak. I feel like I'm going to faint and I get a hot flush. I look at Caroline and she too looks like she's seen a ghost! "What happened?" you're thinking.... Well I'll tell you..... Ashley from X Factor walked in!!!! Ha ha. OH MY GOD he is the most handsome man in the world! I fancied him from the moment I laid eyes on him weeks ago one Saturday night on my TV but in the flesh, well, every lady (and gay man) in the room was blown away!!!! Me and Caroline gushed about how amazing he is and I told a guy next to me that I wanted to meet him. Within 30 seconds he was at my side with the cheekiest grin in the world. I giggled at him and kissed him and told him it was nice to meet him (I turned into a silly giggling fan - mush like when I met Valentino Rossi and funny enough, Ashley looks a lot like Rossi). We had a little chat until his ugly bitter agent or manager, or whatever she is, dragged him away. She had the raging hump that he was talking to me (which I found quite amusing). I've seen her type before. She's not a proper agent - she's just someone who snaps him up the minute he gets out of X Factor and tells him she can make him a star. She then drags him round every celebrity party in London holding his hand and acting like she's some big-shot celeb agent until everyone realises she's just playing at being an agent, she doesn't actually know what she's doing, she's rude and arrogant and they all refuse to work with her. I've lost count of how many "agents" like her I've met before. Plus, no agent worth their salt walks round celebrity parties holding hands with their client! Pur-leeease!!!! And no good agent tells their client who they can or can't talk to! Jeff would never in a million years get involved in my personal life or tell me not to talk to someone. A good agent simply makes their client lots of money and encourages them to get as mush good publicity as possible. I've seen so many reality stars fall flat on their face cos they didn't get with a real agent. I really hope Ashley has the brain to realise this quickly cos that girl is nothing but bad for him. It always makes me laugh cos they act like they're bigger than me and that their client is "above" me but then a few years down the line, I'm the one still working and making money and the blokes I've fancied or been out with (who's managers have hated me), well, they're not doing anything (Antony Costa, Kenzie, Dane from D-Side etc etc - the list is endless). Oh sorry - I forgot - Kenzie is wearing a leotard in some show on TV - nice. Glad to see his manager is doing well for him! The bottom line is that if you wanna be in this business you gotta make as mush money as possible cos it doesn't last forever. Being rude to people isn't going to get you far. There's a very good reason I'm still working - it's cos I know what I'm doing, I'm good at what I do and I'm nice and easy to work with. Also, I have a professional agent and publicist and they don't come out with me trying to get famous themselves or creating bad vibes.
Anyway, enough about the stupid girl... Ashley is gorgeous and we had another little chat later (by which time I was dripping in sweat from dancing on a table and very drunk from all the drinks Tony and Rick kept plying me with).
We made some more friends last night, one being a girl from Eastenders and a girl from Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (who I swopped numbers with). We all danced on the tables together and rocked the party. The venue itself was the nuts. There were two bowling alleys in different rooms, about 4 bars, a karaoke room, people everywhere dressed up as Characters from Grease (and the real Frenchie herself was there - they'd flown her over for the night!), there was a make-up parlour where you could go and get made up or have beauty treatments and there was candy floss and American burgers and chips being handed out all night. It made such a change from all the normal clubs! We even managed to get the DJ to play a bit of Paul Weller and Kaiser Chiefs and he even played Rocking All Over the World by Quo cos Rick was there. We screamed our heads off and went nuts. The whole room joined in and we turned it from alright party to totally nuts, dancing on the tables and screaming party!!! A seriously good night.
Rick tried to get me and Tone to stay at his and go for breakfast on his boat but since I had nothing but the bra and knickers I was wearing, we declined. Can you imagine posh champagne breakfast on a boat in last night's skimpy outfit?! Er no. Instead I have promised I will see Rick this weekend. Me and Tone drunkenly waffled to our driver the whole way home and then passed out the minute we got in the door.
I had such a good night. Caroline and Dean were wicked - loads of fun and it was lovely to see Rick and have a good old dancing session. We properly rocked the place (while Antony Costa sat in the corner in a mood) and although it's only 3pm, I feel like I could go and do it all again now! Unfortunately I am filming a TV show tonight at home and then after that Alex is coming over to do my hair. I have been to London today to get hair stuff.
Oh yeah and I nearly forgot to mention - I snogged Rick. Ha ha. My mum has wanted me to marry him for years and I finally took the first step and gave him a good smacker! Ha ha. My mum was really happy when I told her today. The thing with Rick is that we're such good mates that I don't want to ruin it by having a relationship with him but he's very persistent and very naughty so watch this space...... ha ha.
I'm off to get ready for the TV show now. Hope you're having a good day people.
Lots of love
