6th June 2006 - I've joined a Salsa class!!

Oh my god, guess what...........? I've joined a Salsa class! And it gets better, so have Lauren, my mum, dad, Tony and Pants. Russ, Jord and Paul are all considering it! After watching Strictly Dance Fever, I realised how mush I missed dancing and have been craving to start a dance class ever since. Sitting in a Spanish restaurant the other night with Lauren, Tony and Pants we all decided that what we needed was to join a salsa class. The following night me and Lauren were sweating and being thrown round a dance floor by different men! We loved it! We went on our own the first time to see what it was like. Now that we have confirmation that it's amazing, the others can't wait to start! We all start together next week.

I used to go to dance classes when I was younger. I did Latin American and Ballroom dancing and also contemporary street dance. I even toured the country going to dance shows and won loads of medals in dance competitions. I've still got all the trophies at my mum's house. I've also worked as a dancer. I've danced at all the top London clubs as a podium dancer and also did my famous stint at Stringfellows. I love dancing more than anything! I was so jellus watching Strictly Dance Fever. I wanted to be in the dance mansion with them! I've even begged my agent to harass the celebrity version of the show to get me on it!

Anyway, our first salsa class was brilliant. It wasn't difficult (as I'm good at dancing and can pick things up quickly) and within minutes we were grinding away to the music. I can't wait til next week now. I'm also on the look out for a good street dancing class. Not only do I enjoy it more than anything but it'll keep me fit and get me back in shape. I hate gyms and I've only ever been fit because of dancing. Plus, with my mum and dad and half my mates coming too we're going to have such a laugh!

I've had the last few days off as I think I've already mentioned, I was supposed to be in Italy this week with my brother. Instead I stayed home to look after Lyla so have taken the opportunity to spend every day with all 8 of my dogs. I've been walking them, playing with them and doing obedience training 3 times a day. We've had a lovely time and they are all enjoying the lovely weather. Tony and Paul have been popping over when they've had a minute to themselves. They've been rolling round on the grass with the dogs too!

I've spoken to Jordan every day since he's been away. He's having a brilliant time. He's bought me a present from what he described as the "most amazing clothes shop in the world" so I can't wait for him to get back now! He's very amused at all of us joining the salsa class but said that if everyone is doing it then he'll think about joining too. The reason we have forced Tony and Pants into it is that there's no point me and Lauren being able to dance like Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing and having nobody to do it with. We need two men to learn it too so that when we're all out we can suddenly launch into a jaw-dropping routine. Plus we can all start going to salsa clubs (which are mush better than normal clubs) and we'll love every second of it! It'll be great for all the boys too cos it's a known fact that girls LOVE a man who can dance. The minute they start spinning us round, the girls will be all over them! And, of course they'll be able to utter that famous line to any girl they fancy sitting on her own "nobody leaves ???? in the corner!" before dragging them onto the dance floor! Quality!

I'm so excited I can barely contain myself. Once a week isn't enough for me! I need at least three times though. The wait for the class to come round is too long! Plus I want to be good straight away. No messing with the beginners, I want to be thrown about immediately!

I haven't got a lot else to say really. Well, I could think of a million things but right now I want to go to bed with my beautiful doggies and read my Jackie Collins. Tomorrow I'm doing another day of dog training and then have a meeting at 5pm at home. Jordan gets home tomorrow night so I will probably end up staying in with him hearing all about his trip. Hope you're all having a good week. If you're bored with life then go join a salsa class. It's amazing, it keeps you fit, it's fun, you get to meet new people and in no time at all you'll have moves to shock everyone with!

Loads of love from a hip-swinging, pelvis-grinding Jodie
