21st March 2006 - I'm suing the Myspace website for Identity theft! Wooohoooo!!!

Ok, a few months ago I found out that a load of scary weirdos (you know the type - "them" again) are pretending to be me on the Myspace website. And not just like "ha ha - my name's Jodie Marsh", but like "thank you so mush to everyone who has supported me after Big Brother - I will reply to you all but obviously I'm really busy so bear with me" etc etc!!!! Not only that but they have stolen pictures and blogs off this website. Both stealing copyrighted material AND identity theft are quite serious issues obviously; but what is most upsetting for me is that there are a hell of a lot of people out there who actually believe these freaks ARE me!!! Please take note:

I DO NOT have a "myspace" - my brother does so that people can listen to his music but I DO NOT.

Again, please listen to what I'm saying - I DO NOT have a "myspace". Why would I need one when I have this site all of my own?! Jeez!

Whoever these people are, they are in danger of getting their arses seriously sued, as on Thursday I am meeting with Lawyers to discuss the problem. I emailed Myspace a while back informing them of the problem and they haven't got back to me, which means they too, are treading on dangerous ground. Stolen images, blogs and theft of identity are taken very seriously in court and I stand to make some serious money out of it. Nice!

The point is; do not believe anybody that claims to be me on Myspace, or even that claims to know me (with the exception of my brother and Dave and Russ). If you want to look at one of the profiles to see just how scary they are, click this link:

Now.... Why would someone go to those lengths to try and pretend to be someone they are not? It's very f*cking scary. I think I might have some stalkers on my hands!

Feel free to email this weirdo and tell them what you think of them. And feel free to bombard "myspace" themselves with negative criticism for allowing it to happen, even after I have informed them of the wrong-doing. My brother and I have emailed them yet again this evening!

I don't care that someone is pretending to be me; like I said, I stand to make a nice amount of money out of it. The lawyers are rubbing their hands together with glee that Myspace have totally ignored my emails. What I do care about however, is that people out there actually believe they are talking to ME when they message these weirdos.

It is actually quite terrifying that this person seems to believe they are me, to some extent. And terrifying that Myspace are doing nothing to stop it, even though they have been informed of the problem.

Thank you, have a good day

The REAL Jodie Marsh (funnily enough!)
