How many of us know someone who has been affected by bullying? The answer to that question is probably close to 100%
Charities such as beatbullying have been set up to try and help everyone who has been directly or indirectly touched by Bullying.
As part of beatbullying awareness week we are putting on the FIRST EVER beatbullying Charity Club Night on 23rd November, 2005 ; being held at the exclusive EVE nightclub in London.
Hosted by beatbullying's ambassador Jodie Marsh; the night promises to be full of surprises.
With some of the hottest current and up and coming UK acts performing along with famous DJ's and a live auction of signed products and donated gifts - the night will prove to be both profitable for the charity and raise maximum awareness.
As you know Jodie is a well-known celebrity who has committed herself to the work of beatbullying as our roving ambassador. Jodie has had extensive experience of bullying herself - she was bullied mercilessly as a young person and suffered at the hands (literally) of her tormentors for many years whilst at school. She understands absolutely the difficulties and complexities inherent in bullying and has spoken very eloquently about how her childhood experiences have affected her as an adult.
Jodie's role as BB's roving ambassador means many things to BB and to the young people of our country. She spearheaded the launch of our website, The BBClic (at http://www.bbclic.com/) to the UK's press in conjunction with other celebrities. She is characterised on The BBClic website and will be publishing extracts of her teenage diary on the website to help other young people understand the problems and solutions to bullying. Perhaps most importantly, Jodie has committed herself to working with BB in schools and in the communities where we are currently implementing our model.
Please come along and support our cause.
For further information go to http://www.beatbullying.org/ or http://www.bbclic.com/ for ticket availability and an update of the evening's glam events.
